Star Trek Discovery Has Its Spock

The Hollywood Reporter was confirmed that Star Trek Discovery has cast Ethan Peck, the grandson of Hollywood legend, Gregory Peck, as the one taking on Lenard Nimoy's iconic role.

Fans have been awaiting CBS All Access's recast for Spock ever since we found out the series' protagonist Michael Burnham was his foster sister. Spock's father Sarek and mother Amanda were recast for season one of the series, but Spock was never shown. The season 1 finale ending with Captain Pike's USS Enterprise arriving set the stage for Spock to finally appear.

Anson Mount's Christopher Pike says that the half-Vulcan, half-Human is off on his own due to some question he could not answer in the season 2 trailer.  The Enterprise is set to be a massive part of this season and casting Spock puts them one step closer to rounding out the crew of the original pilot "The Cage." For example; Number One, played by Majel Barrett, will finally get an appearance in the present of a story with the casting of Rebecca Romijn as Pike's first officer.
